I've made this site as a personal index of music. The music files are stored on 3rd party websites like rapidshare and megaupload, and each file is a .zip with a whole album.
Why use a 3rd party hosting site?
- Faster downloads for more obscure, less popular music.
- Your IP address is not public as with limewire, torrents, etc.
- Download music at work. All albums are accessible via HTTP (port 80), which corporations and schools usually do not block. Also, it's less likely you'll make admins suspicious, since torrents and p2p runs over different ports.
Why use jacolyte.com?
- Better quality music. I make sure all albums are complete, and accurately tagged. When possible, I go for the albums with a 320 kbps bitrate.
